THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative with a strong emphasis on relational factors. I also pay attention to social and cultural factors (e.g., gender, race, ethnicity, religion, economic issues, sexual orientation, etc.) that impact individuals' experiences and the choices available to them. I am highly collaborative and encourage clients to take an active role in the therapeutic process.  clients have shared that they experience me as extremely open, warm, caring, trustworthy, competent and committed to our work together.

I have enjoyed working with individuals and couples in Counseling and Psychotherapy for the past 20 plus years. I have taught and written extensively on issues related to mental health and optimal well-being and have worked in the United States, europe and Japan..
